Prices of mortgage-backed securities rose today for the second day in a row pushing 30 year fixed mortgage rates below 5%. Today's conforming 30 year fixed par rate is 4.875%, the lowest in weeks. The 30 year fixed rate wasn't the only one to dip today. 15 year fixed mortgage rates dropped from 4.375% to 4.25%. Also 5/1 ARM rates dipped t 3.875% from 4%.

30 Year Fixed Conforming Mortgage Rates Back to 4.875%
Prices of mortgage-backed securities rose today for the second day in a row pushing 30 year fixed mortgage rates below 5%. Today's conforming 30 year fixed par rate is 4.875%, the lowest in weeks.
