Mortgage Rates are Rising to Begin the Week

MBS prices keep dipping pushing mortgage rates up further and further. 30 year fixed mortgage rates are still as low as 4.75% but that's likely to change. The 10 year treasury yield, a leading indicator for conforming mortgage rates today, is flat remaining at a 3 month high. Jumbo mortgage rates are up. The current 30 year fixed rate jumbo mortgage is going at 5.875%, many lenders have adjusted to 6%. The FHA 30 year fixed par rate is almost at 5%, hanging in at 4.875%.
