There's an interesting theory out there regarding inflation fears and mortgage rates. Many experts point to hightened inflation fears causing the rise in mortgage rates this month. If that theory holds true the fed's optimistic comments Friday that not only is inflation not an immediate headache but that they can win the inflation battle in the long term should cause a big improvement in mortgage rates this week.
